Terms of Sale

At checkout you are asked to confirm: “I have read and accept the Pre-contract Information and the Terms of Sale.” The pre-contract information is section 1 below; sections 2 to 11 are the terms of sale; the model withdrawal form is at the end. You can save or print this page.

1. Pre-contract information

1.1 The seller

The seller and your contracting party is TestPrep LLC., 777 NW 72nd Ave STE 1075, Miami, FL 33126, United States. SAT1Prep is published by TestPrep Education. Email: info@testprepeurope.com. Phone and WhatsApp: +44 7862 610215.

1.2 What you buy (main characteristics)

• Private lessons: live one-to-one online SAT lessons of 90 minutes with a TestPrep tutor, bought one to ten at a time or as a 10- or 20-lesson package. Lessons are scheduled with you after payment.
• Ultimate package: 50 private lessons of 90 minutes, plus 20 full-length practice tests and the question bank (4 months' access), which open on your account at payment.
• Group course: 72 hours of live online classes over 16 weeks for the start date you choose, in classes of at most 6 students, with 20 practice tests and the question bank included. The question bank opens on your account once the first week is over; the practice tests on the day of the last topic lesson.
• Practice tests: a single full-length Digital SAT practice test or a pack of 5, 10 or 20, taken on this site, with scores and explanations. They open on your account at payment and stay available for 12 months.
• Question bank: Reading and Writing, Math, or both sections, for 120 days from payment.
• AI Tutor time: minutes with the AI Tutor that talks you through your practice-test mistakes, sold in 30-minute blocks and added to your account at payment. Minutes you do not use stay on your account.

Practice tests, the question bank, the Ultimate package and AI Tutor time need a SAT1Prep account (free); you sign in before paying. Digital content works in a current desktop or mobile browser with an internet connection; no software needs to be installed.

Lessons in a package stay valid until they have been used. Practice tests that come with a package or a course stay available for 12 months from the day they open on your account, and the question bank for 4 months from the day it opens.

1.3 Price

Prices are shown on the pricing page and, to the cent, at checkout, in euros. The amount shown at checkout is the total price you pay, including any taxes; there are no delivery or other additional charges. Our list prices are set in US dollars and converted to euros at the exchange rate of the day; the amount you see when you start the payment is the amount charged. Your bank may charge its own fees for a card payment.

1.4 Payment

Payment is by card or another method offered in the payment form, processed by Stripe; we never see your card details. The price is due at checkout. For the group course in two payments, the first is charged at checkout and the second one month later from the same card, at the exchange rate of the first payment and for the same amount in euros; your card is saved with Stripe for that purpose. Instalment plans are paid by card only and cannot be paid by bank transfer. An invoice is issued for every payment.

1.5 Delivery and performance

Practice tests, the question bank and AI Tutor time are supplied by opening them on your account as soon as the payment goes through. Private lessons are given online on the dates and times agreed with you. The group course is given on the timetable shown at checkout for the start date you chose; its included practice tests and question bank open on the dates stated in 1.2.

1.6 Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason (section 8). The right is lost, or limited, in these cases, and only if you asked for it at checkout:

• Digital content (practice tests, question bank, AI Tutor time, and the tests and question bank of the Ultimate package and the group course): you lose the right of withdrawal once you start using it, supply having begun with your express prior consent and your acknowledgement of this (Directive 2011/83/EU, art. 16(m)).
• Lessons and the group course (services): if you expressly asked for them to start within the withdrawal period, you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided (art. 16(a)); if you withdraw before then, private lessons already given are charged at the single-lesson price, the lessons already held in a group course or private group are charged in proportion to the course, and the rest is refunded (art. 14(3)).

1.7 Other information

Legal guarantee: digital content and services must be as described and fit for purpose; you have the remedies the law of your country gives you if they are not. Complaints: section 10. Applicable law: section 11. The contract is concluded in English.

2. Scope

These terms apply to every purchase made on SAT1Prep between you and TestPrep LLC.. Our terms of use cover the use of the site itself; where they differ, these terms prevail for purchases. Nothing in them limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

3. How the contract is made

You choose a product and, at checkout, tick the boxes that apply and confirm the payment. The contract is concluded when the payment is confirmed. We then send a confirmation and receipt, with a copy of these terms and the model withdrawal form, to the email address given at checkout or on your account.

4. Prices and payment

Sections 1.3 and 1.4 apply. If the second payment of the group course cannot be collected, we will contact you before anything else happens.

5. Lessons and the group course

• A scheduled lesson can be cancelled or moved up to 3 hours before it starts. A lesson cancelled later counts as given and is not refunded. A lesson still unpaid 3 hours before it starts is cancelled automatically (see the 3-hour rule).
• Private tutoring: If you are not satisfied after your first lesson, we refund your payment in full. We do not offer free trial lessons. Payment is required before your first lesson.
• Group courses and private groups: If you are not satisfied after the lessons held in the first week, we refund your payment in full. After the first week, group course fees are not refunded. Each group is built around its enrolled students: the class size, the tutor and the timetable are set for them, and when one student leaves, the course changes for everyone else in the group. This does not affect your legal right to withdraw within 14 days of payment: if you withdraw in that period after lessons have started, the lessons already held are charged in proportion to the course and the rest is refunded. We do not offer free trial lessons. Payment is required before your first lesson.
• A group course opens when enough students have enrolled. If there are not enough enrolments, each student who has paid chooses between a full refund of the amount paid, a place in the next group to start, and one-to-one lessons of the same value.
• Every group lesson is recorded and can be watched for 14 days.
• Lessons in a package stay valid until they have been used.
• You can cancel a lesson package at any time. Lessons already given are charged at the single-lesson price and the rest is refunded. The first-lesson guarantee applies on top. We do not offer free trial lessons. Payment is required before your first lesson.
• Practice tests and question bank included in a course: a refund under the first-week guarantee is a full refund, because they do not open before the first week is over. We do not offer free trial lessons. Payment is required before your first lesson.

6. Digital content

Practice tests, the question bank and AI Tutor time are for your own personal, non-commercial use, on your account only. Access lasts for the period stated in 1.2. You may not share your account or copy the content.

Practice tests, question banks and AI Tutor time are digital content. You can ask for a refund of a digital product you have not used within 14 days of the payment date. A product counts as used once any practice test in the pack has been started, any question in a paid section of the question bank has been opened, or any second of AI Tutor time has been used; a used product is not refunded.

7. The waiver you give at checkout

Each checkout asks for one of these sentences, worded for what you buy:

• Practice tests, question bank, AI Tutor time: “I want access to the digital content to open immediately, and I understand that my right of withdrawal ends once I start using it.”
• Private lessons and lesson packages: “I expressly request that the lessons may start before the 14-day withdrawal period ends. I acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once all the lessons have been given, and that if I withdraw earlier I pay for the lessons already given. The first-lesson refund guarantee still applies.”
• Group course: “I expressly request that the group course may start before the 14-day withdrawal period ends, and that its practice tests and question bank open on my account on the dates shown. I acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal from each practice test and the question bank once I start using it, and from the course once it has been fully given; if I withdraw earlier, I pay for the part of the course already given. The first-week refund guarantee still applies.”
• Ultimate package: “I expressly request that the package's practice tests and question bank open on my account immediately, and that the lessons may start before the 14-day withdrawal period ends. I acknowledge that I thereby lose my right of withdrawal from the practice tests and the question bank once I start using them, and from the lessons once they have all been given; if I withdraw earlier, I pay for the lessons already given. The first-lesson refund guarantee still applies.”

8. Right of withdrawal

Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (TestPrep LLC., 777 NW 72nd Ave STE 1075, Miami, FL 33126, United States; email info@testprepeurope.com; phone +44 7862 610215) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example an email, a letter sent by post, or the “Withdraw from contract here” page linked at the bottom of every page). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. If you are paying the group course in two payments, the second payment is not taken.

If you requested to begin the performance of lessons or the group course during the withdrawal period, the lessons already given until you have communicated us your withdrawal from this contract are charged at the single-lesson price, and the rest is refunded.

Exceptions. The right of withdrawal does not apply, or ends early, as set out in 1.6: for digital content once its supply has begun with your express consent and acknowledgement, and for a service once it has been fully provided at your express request. For the Ultimate package, whose practice tests and question bank open at payment, a withdrawal or refund covers the lessons; the list prices, on the day of purchase, of the practice tests and the question bank you have used are deducted from what we return.

9. Liability

We are liable under the law for loss caused by our breach of contract. We make no promise of a particular score or admissions outcome. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Complaints

Please send any complaint to info@testprepeurope.com or by post to TestPrep LLC., 777 NW 72nd Ave STE 1075, Miami, FL 33126, United States, with your order email and what went wrong. We reply in writing. If you live in the EU, you can also contact your national consumer authority or the European Consumer Centre of your country.

11. Applicable law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. If you are a consumer habitually resident in the European Union or the European Economic Area, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
